Well after taking 6 months I have decided that I am coming back on line to blog and I am not letting anyone make me so mad that I stop voicing my opinion. If you don’t like to read what I have to Say then don’t read my blog. I am not going to let Internet bullies run me off and make me scared to say what I feel. Wal-mart death.
November 29 2008I wondered how long it was going to be before someone was killed at a Wal-Mart. Working for this mega chain store for 5 years back in the middle 1990’s I notice people acting greedy on Black Friday. This doesnt surprise me that people would trample over a worker and kill him just to save a few dollars. I believe that Wal-mart should face charges plus if they catch any of the people that walked over this man they should face charges as well! Greed has become the America way and People need to stop and look at themselfs. Is a life more important than a flat screen t.v.? Hell yes it is!I also think that they should change the way they do Black Friday. If they dont have enough specials for everyone then they shouldnt sell it! Target knows how to handle the people that come in on this special day. When I worked for the mega store on this day the customers would run and grab the Nintendo 64 game system and fight over it. Come on people its just a game and your adults. Act like it!

November 21 2008I found this morning from mom that she has the early stages of uterine cancer. I know she is scared to death at her age. I hear from others that this is as bad but something to pray upon. Mom I love you so much and you have been there when I have had no one there for me. You bring such joy to my world and I know your going to be just fine. Keep your hed up and things re going to work out. Here is a song for you mom. I hope you remember this song , I do!

November 18 2008As I sit here and watch the news about the the big 3 Auto makers asking for a bailout I begin to wonder. What am I wondering you might ask me? Well, if everyone would think about this it might make some sense to us all. The big 3 auto makers were making and selling S.U.V.’S and trucks. All of a sudden gas is going up and up and up. A record price of gas has been seen lately. Now that gas has dropped to levels before Bush, I wonder if these 3 auto makers and big oil were all in this together. The big 3 are now broke while oil and gas prices are dropping everyday. Billions have been made by the oil companies and hedge fund operators and the 3 big auto makers. Now they are begging our government for help for they are paying their retired employees 95% of their pay. We as a country have been robbed by these people! I say let these big companies sink. The mortgage companies have done the same thing with the American people and they should go broke as well. If I didn’t pay my bills no one would help me out. The bailouts should be there for the Americans that really need it for the money is ours not big companies. These companies have made millions and the Executives are sitting wealthy while the average Joe is homeless or hungry! We need to stand up and say HELL NO…for the bailouts!!
UPDATE: CNN is telling us now that the unions have the employees making $75.00 an hour compared to others. They have screwed themselfs. go on strike to get more money and your company will go broke! It cost Gm $1600 per car for health insurance but over at Toyota it cost $200 per car. go figure!!

With Democratic voters turning out in droves to vote early, Jane’s opponent has posted teams of people around the Montgomery County Board of Elections, and they are telling people that her Republican opponent is a Democrat…endorsed by Barack Obama!
They are handing out literature with no party indicated, for voters to take inside the voting booth!
This attempt to confuse voters could be costing valuable votes… especially if they get a Republican sample ballot in the mistaken belief it is a list of Democrats!
We are breaking records here every day — over 3,400 people voted in person in Montgomery County alone on Saturday… and we believe Sunday exceeded Saturday… even though the voting hours weren’t as long. We can’t let this happen!
Congressman Turner personally entered the polls FIVE times on Saturday, shaking hands and electioneering inside the building WELL within the 100 foot mark. When angry voters began taking pictures, he left.
We need your help! Come join us in OH-3 and help us outside the polls, or contribute so we can make this stop!

I think the democrats have won the state of Tn but the media is saying the republicans have this state won. How could this be?

Political Discrimination and Weakened Institutions Define Presidency
(Caracas, September 18, 2008) – In its efforts to counter political opposition and consolidate power, the government of President Hugo Chávez has weakened democratic institutions and human rights guarantees in Venezuela, Human Rights Watch said in a report released today.
The 230-page report, “A Decade Under Chávez: Political Intolerance and Lost Opportunities for Advancing Human Rights in Venezuela,” examines the impact of the Chávez presidency on institutions that are essential for ensuring respect for human rights and the rule of law: the courts, the media, organized labor, and civil society.
“Ten years ago, Chávez promoted a new constitution that could have significantly improved human rights in Venezuela,” said José Miguel Vivanco, Americas director at Human Rights Watch. “But rather than advancing rights protections, his government has since moved in the opposite direction, sacrificing basic guarantees in pursuit of its own political agenda.
”
Chávez was first elected in 1998, promising to overhaul Venezuela’s largely discredited political system. The enactment of a new constitution in 1999 offered an extraordinary opportunity for the country to shore up the rule of law and strengthen the protection of human rights. Yet the report finds that this important opportunity has since been largely squandered.
“The most dramatic blow to Venezuelan democracy in the last 10 years was the 2002 coup against Chávez,” said Vivanco. “Fortunately it lasted only two days. Unfortunately the Chávez government has exploited it ever since to justify policies that have degraded the country’s democracy.
”
In the absence of credible judicial oversight, the Chávez government has systematically pursued often discriminatory policies that have undercut journalists’ freedom of expression, workers’ freedom of association, and civil society’s ability to promote human rights in Venezuela.
Political discrimination
Discrimination on political grounds has been a defining feature of the Chávez presidency.
The Chávez government has engaged in wide-ranging acts of discrimination against political opponents and critics. At times, the president himself has openly endorsed acts of discrimination. More generally, he has encouraged the discriminatory actions of subordinates by routinely denouncing his critics as anti-democratic conspirators – regardless of whether they had any connection to the 2002 coup.
The courts
Another defining feature of the Chávez presidency has been its open disregard for the principle of separation of powers – and, specifically, the notion that an independent judiciary is indispensable for protecting fundamental rights in a democratic society. After the 2002 coup, the most damaging blow to the rule of law in Venezuela was the political takeover of the Supreme Court by Chávez and his supporters in 2004, which effectively neutralized the judiciary as an independent branch of government. Since the 2004 takeover, the court has repeatedly failed to fulfill its role as a check on arbitrary state action and safeguard of fundamental rights.
The media
The Chávez government has undermined freedom of expression through a variety of measures aimed at reshaping media control and content. Venezuela still enjoys a vibrant public debate in which anti-government and pro-government media are equally vocal in their criticism and defense of Chávez. However, by expanding and toughening the penalties for speech and broadcasting offenses, Chávez and his legislative supporters have strengthened the state’s capacity to limit free speech, and created powerful incentives for critics to engage in self-censorship. It has also abused the state’s control of broadcasting frequencies to intimidate and discriminate against stations with overtly critical programming.
Organized labor
The Chávez government has sought to remake the country’s labor movement in ways that violate basic principles of freedom of association. It has fired workers who exercise their right to strike, denied workers their right to bargain collectively and discriminated against workers because of their political beliefs. Through its systematic violation of workers’ right to organize, the Chávez government has undercut established unions and favored new, parallel unions that support its political agenda.
Civil society
The Chávez government has pursued an aggressively adversarial approach to local rights advocates and civil society organizations. During the Chávez presidency, rights advocates have faced prosecutorial harassment, unsubstantiated allegations aimed at discrediting their work, and efforts to exclude them from international forums and restrict their access to international funding.
The report provides detailed recommendations to the Venezuelan government to reverse the damage done by its policies and to strengthen the country’s human rights protections. These include seeking to restore the credibility of the Supreme Court through a ratification process for all justices who were appointed after the 2004 court-packing law and establishing a new autonomous agency to administer broadcasting frequencies.
“Chávez has actively sought to project himself as a champion of democracy, not only in Venezuela, but throughout the region,” the report observes. However, “Venezuela will not achieve real and sustained progress toward strengthening its democracy – nor serve as a useful model for other countries in the region – so long as its government continues to flout the human rights principles enshrined in its own constitution.
”
Class action lawsuit??
September 17 2008I have seen wholesale gas today at $2.42 and add another 58 cents to the price for taxes and we should be paying right at $3.00 a gallon. We are paying here in Smyrna $3.97 a gallon at some spots and even more in other spots. I want to know what the laws in this state are for price gouging? Should we, the people get together and bring a class action lawsuit against these companies that are charging us $1.00 a gallon today? I feel we should show these big oil companies we are not playing around with them and won’t take their crap anymore!! Last week I paid $3.49 for gas the night before the hurricane hit Texas and when I went back to work that the next night it had jumped 70 cents. This is highway robbery folks! Let me know if you feel the same way I do and if anyone knows the laws in the state.
Boycott Gas stations!!
September 13 2008Ok people I have seen gas prices go up $1.00 in 2 days at certain stations in Smyrna and not going up uch in Nashville. Gas prices today in town are $4.40 as of 5pm today!! I think we as a people should now boycott all the stations that are much higher than other stations. I have called the number to file a complaint about price gouging. Oil will be $90.00 on Monday this was told on the news Friday. so why are we paying so much for gas? I am now boyoctting Kroger’s, Thorton’s, and home depot! Join me and let’s do this.
UPDATE: At 9pm I was out on Lowry street in Smyrna and passed two B.P station that are located about 2 blocks from each other on the same side of the road and was had gas at $4.09 a gallon and the other one which is Abe’s B.P. had gas for $4.99 a gallon and the other store he owns Mysitc was at $4.99 a gallon as well. Abe is robbing the people of smyrna!
