As I sit here on this evening listening to Christmas music, i think about when I was younger and living in Ohio. I remember this time of year when we as children would spend one Sat. night with my mother’s side of the family and then On Christmas Eve we would all bundle up in the car and head over to my father’s side of the family. Listening to music on both evenings and eating until we were about to pop. The memories that were made will always be with me. My father is the last one left of his family and it’s sad to think about the times we had until after midnight on Christmas morning. Certain songs bring back those memories for me. drinking eggnog , opening gifts, and spending time with some of the best family around. Now it is only myself, my brother, my mother, and my nephew. I really wish I could go back in time and visit those that aren’t with us anymore. Here are a few of my favorite songs from the past. I hope you enjoy them and enjoy thosee that you love!
I am a person that is very forgiving. My grandmother once told my mother that I was an angel. There are people in this world that I don’t agree with and that is fine. That is what makes this world a great place to live in. I have friends and they are awesome to have. Some are friends that I don’t agree with and they don’t agree with me. I know people have their opinions and that is fine with me. I am not going to hold a grudge for those that don’t agree with me because I am the type of person that knows we all can’t agree! This kind of action makes me a better person in the long run! I might not always agree with you but let’s just be friends anyways and try to get along. Life is much more interesting this way. A love/hate relationship is funny to me!!
I have been friends with many people and I have just started to pay attention to what is going on with politics. I have also noticed that when you talked agmost your friends about politics they have different views. I have lost a few friends because of this or where they really friends in the first place? Politics is an eveil friend and I will be so glad when this election is over.Has anyone lost friends over politics? I hope you haven’t! If I ever offend any of my true friends over politics please tell me and I hope that we can always be friends. I have watched the elections coverage plus My cousin is running for congree in Ohio and I try to listen to her advice and I know I am making the choice for voting on who I want to win this election.
I work my ass and make great money and have a great time at work but maybe just maybe I should quit my job and become one of those that stays home and has people come by and pick up little baggies of green or little white candies. I would be able to have my own security and more money than I have now! I would be able to have many many close friends that I can call “family”. I would be able to have a tight pimped up ride and able to wear bling around my neck while I have many females knocking at my door! I then would be able to stay online all day and talk and read blogs! Tell me what I should do?
People say I am racist but now I see this guy , a man of god, or so he thinks he is, says god was black…please. I have never heard a preacher use the N word. How can we let this happen inour churches? I just am appalled over all of this and those that have called me racist need to watch this video and reflect and then tell me that this is right for a preahcer to teach this in a church!!
Ok most of you know how I feel on gangs and what they do and how the influence our youth. Well I just read another young teen has died because of the gangs. This is something that we as a people have to stop. This senseless killing was done by a Hispanic gang and they ask this young high school football star if he was in a gang and he said no and they killed him. How fucking stupid!! There is this young teen in our neighborhood and last year he was headed down the wrong path and I knew it. Today most of the young teens in the area aren’t allowed to hang out with him because he is now in a gang. I feel that for the last 2 years this young teen was left alone alot during the evening hours while both his parents worked and somehow someone from a gang got him to join and now this young man is fucked!! Say what you want about the music our youth listen to but I don’t know anyone that joins a gang or because a mean person because they listen to country, dance, classical, top 40 , and oldies. I know that this rap music does have an influence on the youth but as a parent you should watch what your child listens to or downloads. I have had them at work block alot of music off the jukebox that it now off the Internet because they use such bad words and talk about drive-by’s. Plus when I hear a song that is being played I look at the person that played it and man do they look gangster. yes I said the word they look gangster. This is a problem that we have in our days and I remember back in the 80’s we didn’t have to worry about all this going on now did we? I don’t see drive-bys happening by listening to Madonna or men at work! step back and take a look at what life has brought us and the point we are headed into. A life of crime isn’t the way to go but these rappers are making it look like its fun to be gangster!!
