With only a few days left until the election, I sit here this morning wondering what is in store for out beautiful country. Our economy sucks right now, jobs are being lost at a high rate, gas prices were at an all time high but are finally coming, and we are all fixing to vote on November 4th! I remember back in 2000 when we were sitting around watching the returns come in and the state of Tennessee had voted for this guy we thought was going to take this country even further than Bill Clinton had already taken us. I didn’t vote back then but now I know I should have! The great careless and almost ignorant people of the state voted for president Bush along side of the whole country. I remember several years later at the Kroger’s while filling up with gas people were bitching about the gas prices, I looked at them and told these people hey who did you vote for back in 2000? One guy told me he voted for Bush and I told him well don’t bitch about the price of gas because Bush is going to make millions of gas while he is in office! The good ole boys in Washington are always going to be good ole boys like the ones here in Tennessee. My father said the other day that Tennessee will sit in their little shacks on the side on mountains in the state and will vote Republican this year. I just wish people would Wake up and do the right thing and vote for the right person this time andnot try to follow suit with the good ole boys! Gas prices are slowing falling now because of the election and the economy but its alittle late because millions have lost their homes and jobs and with the holidays coming up soon many won’t be able to have dinner. Don’t you good ole boys see what you have done to our country over the last 8 years? I am so sick of this! It is our American duty to go and vote. So I ask everyone to go ahead and make plans to get out Tuesday morning nd cast your vote but remember while standing in line that if you vote for the wrong guy it could be another four more years of what we are going through now!

A just-completed poll by top national firm Lake Research shows 57% of voters in Ohio’s Third Congressional District are not planning on voting to re-elect incumbent Republican Congressman Mike Turner, strongly positioning Jane Mitakides in her bid for election to the U.S. Congress.
“We’re in a recession, and Washington is doing nothing about it,” said Jane Mitakides. “My opponent is a rubberstamp of President Bush’s failed policies and like the president, his approval rating suffers.”
Congressman Mike Turner votes with Bush nearly 90% of the time. Turner’s record of rank-and-file voting includes highly unpopular votes to rubberstamp Bush’s policies in Iraq, the economy, trade laws and billions of taxpayer subsidies for big oil and energy giants. Incredibly, he also votes against the interests of veterans 70% of the time, including voting against the GI Bill.
“The desire for change is palpable, evident not only from Turner’s weak job performance ratings, but also from voters’ plainly stated desire to see a Democrat elected to Congress,” explained Celinda Lake, president, Lake Research Partners.

Is there pride in our city?
June 17 2008With everything that’s been going on with the city hall here in La Vergne Tn, I am beginning to wonder if our city officals have any pride? I know that some of the top officals and supervisors don’t even live in our city. Are they embarrassed by our city that they have to live elsewhere? I know that one aldreman is running for re-election this November and I am going to do everything in my power to have them re-elected. As for the others I could care less about them for they don’t stand up for our rights and they dont take pride in this city. There are citizens that could run city government better than what its going through now! Let’s stand up now and take back our great city.

May 13 2008I am so glad that Hillary won W Va. tonight. Now the talk is if she looses and Obama gets to go to the general election in Nov can he win W. Va.? I say no because he didn’t even spend enough time there and it shows the people in the state that he doesn’t care enough about them. Also if they don’t included Fl and Mi then the people of these 2 states will be angry enough not to vote and these 2 states will turn Republican. so Obama you have really messed things up now and all I can say is the Republicans will beat your ass so step on down now and let Hillary win this and become he VP!!

May 11 2008I am watching CNN right now and they are talking Hammas and they say that Hammas welcomes the thought of Obama winning the White House. WHY are they so welcoming this? Makes one think! This ObAMA HAS NO QUALITFICATIONS!! Someone else does feel the same way I do. Her is some of what this person thinks.
I am a person who pays more attention to a man’s deeds than his words. Obama gives great speeches but that is all he has ever done. He has zero qualifications for the presidency. He fell into a U.S. Senate seat by default a couple of years ago and immediately began running for president. He is recognized as the most liberal senator we have. He talks of change, hope and reconciliation but offers nothing but the same liberal agenda we have had listened to for over 50 years. He began his political career out of this BLT church. He associates with corrupt Chicago power brokers and unrepentant domestic terrorists. His wife has been exposed as a race-baiting liberal activist who has confessed her hatred of America. Obama has all but come out in support of Islamic fascists and their war of terrorism. The list of disqualifications goes on and on. Sorry, Mr. Hart, but no amount of twisted, tortured logic is going to sell us gun-toting, God-loving, bitter American citizens on Obama. Any rational American should be scared to death of this man!
Republicans big guns
May 07 2008Well with the election of last night, I know the republicans aren’t very happy. I for one, know that if Obama wins the nomination then they are going to win in November. If they have juicy stuff they need to be releasing that info now and not later so we in this county can see a big race for the White House in November. It isn’t going to be a fun race if it’s McCain and Obama! Now Hillary and McCain will be a ticket worth watching with all the mudslinging. I for one will not be voting if Obama gets the nomination for I still don’t trust this man and feel that he will make matters worse. Now if he gets into the White House and make a difference then I will be the first one to say I am sorry but I don’t see that happening. I will probably be the one saying” I told you all so!”

April 02 2008I know for a fact that big oil has robbed the american people! These big companies are taking all of our money and living large. Gas back in 1999 was $1.46 a gallon and now it’s $3.06 here in Smyrna! Tell me we are not being robbed of our hard earned money? With oil trading at over $100 a barrel and Americans forking out over $3 a gallon for gas, the oil industry has come under fire for its record profits over the last few years. Exxon Mobil made $40 billion in 2007 alone, and the other big companies have all posted record profits in the billions. Our wonderful President is in on this robbery as well. He has given these big oil companies tax breaks and he isnt going to change that! This from CNN.COM.”The House has tried to repeal the tax break several times, only to have it shot down in the Senate and face a veto threat from President Bush.”

March 25 2008I have been friends with many people and I have just started to pay attention to what is going on with politics. I have also noticed that when you talked agmost your friends about politics they have different views. I have lost a few friends because of this or where they really friends in the first place? Politics is an eveil friend and I will be so glad when this election is over.Has anyone lost friends over politics? I hope you haven’t! If I ever offend any of my true friends over politics please tell me and I hope that we can always be friends. I have watched the elections coverage plus My cousin is running for congree in Ohio and I try to listen to her advice and I know I am making the choice for voting on who I want to win this election.

People say I am racist but now I see this guy , a man of god, or so he thinks he is, says god was black…please. I have never heard a preacher use the N word. How can we let this happen inour churches? I just am appalled over all of this and those that have called me racist need to watch this video and reflect and then tell me that this is right for a preahcer to teach this in a church!!
